Roblox is fun but it might not be safe

Hello my name is roman and I will tell you about Rblox and is it safe. I play Roblox like lots of other people. I have done research and have seen alot. But what i want to mainly talk about is Roblox safety, because we all know Roblox is good but it could contain lots of risk with young kids.

 

Lots of people think Roblox is safe and it’s just an online game but it’s not, people dont see the other side of Roblox. And that side is voice chat, the average age on roblox is 5-13 and I have done research and it said lots of teanagers swear at kids and some people even heard little kids swear back. And while i was reading all of that i was wondering if parents even know that their kids have voice chat or if people download it without telling their parents. And that’s a big problem now that Roblox is getting sued because, Roblox is now facing a significant legal challenge after Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill filed a lawsuit directly accusing it of enabling child sexual exploitation.

 

And that’s one of the bad things that Roblox holds, it said that 40% of Roblox’s players are under 13 and when I read that I was shocked. Then I started to read deeper and deeper and found something disturbing. It was a report that found that children as young as five were able to communicate with adults while playing games on the platform, and found examples of adults and children interacting with no effective age verification. People under 5 were able to do that.

 

There was one person his name was Arnold Castillo. He was a famous Roblox creator and made 22k just from a roblox game. Everyone thought he was a normal Roblox creator but no he sent dirty unpleasant text to a 12year old girl. A sentence he said was i will corrupt your wildest dreams. And also said your the reason why i will be behind bars. And after his message got leaked his game got banned and he got banned. But that wasn’t the end of him, he made another Roblox account, found another young girl and told her where he lived. She came and that’s when it went down hill, i cant say what happened but he is now serving 15 years in prison.

But that is the bad thing about Roblox, I haven’t told you about the good things. As surprising as it is, there are lots of beneficial things you can gain from Roblox. 

 

I went reading because I wouldn’t just read about the bad things, I want to see all the good things too. Like how playing Roblox games improves creativity, like drastically because playing different games improves how they see games. And some even make games but did u know 99% of the Roblox creators fail in making their game because of excessive over working and tutorial watching. 

 

If you read all of this you will realize that roblox is not a kids game. Its main audience are kids and that is a bad thing, that is why Robloxs is not safe for kids. We really need to discuss how there should be an age limit for roblox. Think twice before playing roblox because you never know if it’s an adult you’re talking to.

 

my week

Hello my name is roman and i will tell you about my pretty decent week. This was a pretty fun week.

 

So on monday we started to learn about perimeter and areas. It was easy and it was kinda fun to do. Then after maths we did no code and went to morning tea, i did what i usually do which is play basketball. I did a couple 1v1s, won 3 of them then went back to class. And for lunch it was minced pasta. It was pretty decent. I couldn’t really complain because it was mid. We did reading then writing and that was pretty much monday.

 

Then Tuesday it was basically a repeat. But on reading my and leroy got bored so we tried to crawl outside the class and escape but right as we got to the couch we got caught.then when school finished i had a basketball game i won 1 and lost 1. It was really hard for the 2nd game but the first game we were just playing with them.

 

Wednesday was the same, just no game. So im not going to talk about that but today is thursday, so i will just end my blog on thursday. So at the start of the day we did maths. It was pretty hard because it was a circle where we learnt about pie. Then when I started to listen I learned that it wasn’t even that hard. Finished maths then had lunch, obviously after morning tea. And then I had to do my reading. It was pretty hardish. I completed it but it took a bit now i am writing this. So thank you for listening to my week.

My week

So on monday i came to school and it was horrible like usually always boring nothing to do. Math was easy code was easy and everything was easy.but we did one thing we don’t usually do we did films/movies. It was pretty fun we did a practice movie so we could see what it would look like. But that was the only decent thing, but still a bad day because we didnt do taha tinana.

 

Then the very next day it was so bad there was nothing to do, and i also lost almost both of my breaks. I got ten minutes of lunch time and that was the only break i had. And tech was so bad its the worst thing its not good and i have the worst one. I have hard materials

 

Wednesday i didnt do anything thing so basically nothing.

Thursday was the same it was all easy and did the same as wednesday nothing. So it was pretty boring

the demi god

THE legend of the Maori demigod, his name spread across nations. And his name was Ariki,

He was the person who saved humanity from the ice age. Let me go back before I carry on from before he was known as a demigod. Ariki was bullied a lot when he was a kid. No one saw what he really was, so ariki did not show anyone anything or do anything growing up. Also he couldn’t get clothes. He was called a demon, because when he was a baby he levitated a cup. Everyone was calling him demon kid and which boy. So when he grew up he had no one until his point came. He got kicked out of his village, and His rage became heat and everything around him melted. Everyone said look demon boys using his demon powers. Then with all his rage got a spear and threw it straight down to earth’s core and pulled out the earth’s core. He threw it straight in the sky. And the heat coming off the earth’s core melted off all the ice. Then everyone was shocked he left, and the village told everyone Ariki pulled out the sun. They made the meaning of his name chief. Now they carry on the legend.

I think people could get together and throw a big maariki celebration and eats lots of food for free.

I think some iwi celebrate it because matariki is difficult to see, but puangu is easier to see.

people from the same area who come this same thing like iwi. Understanding who celebrates Puanga is important because it highlights the diverse cultural practices within Aotearoa New Zealand.
4.Can you explain the main differences between Puanga and Matariki celebrations?
Puanga is a time of remembrance, Planing, and new beginnings. And matariki is a time to honour the dead and look in tp the future.
5. Have you ever been part of a celebration based on where you live or your local culture?
No i have not.
6.Is it important for different iwi to have their own ways of celebrating the Māori New
Year? Why or why not?
Yes, because it would be cool because every iwi woldnt be the same. And lots of iwis have different beliefs.
7.What does it tell you about Māori knowledge that some tribes adjusted to follow Puanga
instead of Matariki?
Because different areas have different sightings because some tribes wouldnt be able to see matriki because of hills but they can see puanga.
8.What would a celebration of Puanga at a marae in Taranaki look like? Describe it in your mind.
Parades lots of people yelling excitement happy. Lots of food.
9.Why do you think sharing cultural traditions like Puanga is important for younger
generations?
So the younger generation wont forget and when they grow up they can tell there kids if they have any.

my week

Hello my name is Roman, in this blog I will tell you about my slow boring week at school.

 

On monday it was a fine first day back after the weekend. I don’t really like Monday because I forget everything I learned from the previous week. But anyways I got to school early like always. I walked around school with my friends then the bell went. I went to class to do maths and we had a recap, it was pretty easy since I’m smart. But not at reading, because after maths and code I had morning tea it went fast then I did a bit of kapa haka. Then the worst of them all reading and writing. We did this story about a lot of pacific languages, then we had 10 questions. It would seem easy. Only ten but no, it was a lot harder but I easily did it. Then the rest of the day went normally except for the end. We had basketball practice and the coach was made so he kicked out half the team. Luckily I wasn’t on that side so I stayed and did lots of running but then it ended.

 

But on Tuesday I didn’t come because I was sick, and all I did was sit in my room watching tiktok. So i would of rather gone to school because I had no food and i was hungry. Also my mum said  can’t call her till she gets home so I just waited. Then when she did I got nothing.

 

Wednesday I don’t mind Wednesday because we have taha tinana, so I waited till taha tinana but guess what. NO TAHA TINANA because not everyone finished so I wasted my hard work for nothing. Then Thursday came also nothing to do except for basketball. I won 7 times in a row with my team.

 

Then Friday came normal again then reading, it was interesting because this was the worst i ever did. I didn’t even get taha tinana, then I got sausages and mooses now i’m writing this.
